Considered a protective stone, hypersthene helps create calmness and quietness within the mind of the wearer. According to metaphysical beliefs, hypersthene grounds us in an attempt to shield from hectic stimuli. With less outside "noise," wearers of hypersthene are said to better organize thoughts and find creative solutions to problems. Hypersthene is ideal for holding during meditation. It is also believed hypersthene can enhance self-esteem without promoting ego.

Black onyx is a stone that offers its bearer immensely powerful vibrations of protection, willpower, focus and strength. Many believe that the onyx is there to drive motivation and to continuously push you forward in your life. It activates your root and solar plexus, as well as your third eye chakras. This can aid us in being able to fully ground ourselves to the earth.

Darkest of Times is a hypersthene talisman that wears a lunar crown adorned with black onyx. She has been set in electroformed copper, hand oxidized and polished to give a gloomy weathered appearance. It measures 1.75” in height and rests below an 18” nickel free copper chain.
