About Electroforming, Copper Care, and Crystals
My products are handmade with love using a process called electroforming. In the electroforming process, it can take 24+ hours for each individual piece to become a natural work of art as the copper organically forms itself around the crystal and takes on its own unique shape and form, creating the setting. Every piece is one of a kind and cannot be recreated.
A note about copper: Copper is an element found naturally in the earth. It is one of the best natural conductors, it's high vibrations amplify the energy around it. When exposed to the elements, it can react with them, leading to changes on its surface and the finish. Contact with your skin will polish the copper surface over time. DO NOT expose your jewelry to water of any kind (fresh, salt, chlorinated etc). Avoid contact with sweat, oil, perfumes, and hair products.
The hand patina and polish of your pieces are not designed to last forever. Depending on how you treat your piece, will determine when/if it shines up over time. I do offer the service of reapplying they patina and hand polishing your adoptions to their original state, for a $20 fee. The customer is responsible for shipping and responsible packaging of the piece back to my studio
Copper reacts differently to every body's chemistry. If you find that copper turns you green, it is a sign that you have an acidic pH. Science suggests the following ways to combat a high acidic pH: increase water, dark fruit and veggie intake, and decrease processed starches and sugars. Your skin will absorb the color, or you may simply wash with soap and water.
Copper has been worn for its healthful benefits for millennia. The absorption of micro minerals has proven helpful in joint stiffness, pain, and inflammation. It has antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic and anti-inflammatory properties.
A note about crystals: Crystals are gifts from the earth herself. They are one of a kind and may come with imperfections, which is what gives them character. Please review them thoroughly prior to purchase.
If you have purchased a crystal that has gone through the aura treatment process, please understand aura is a man done process and coloring may vary in consistency throughout the entire piece. Each crystal is inherently unique and special in its own way.
